The 2008 men's track and field team continues to chisel their place in the Adrian College record book.

Earlier this season, the 4 x 100 meter relay team of Patrick Reagan, Desmond Upshaw, Ian Thornton, and Christon Calley completed their event in 41.67. The squad also hit a Provisional National Qualifying time bettering the mark set last year by .36 seconds.

Bob Palmer set a new school record in the 3000 meter steeplechase at the MIAA Field Day Championships last week by running a 9:35.94. The mark bettered the old school record by 4.15 seconds, which was set previously by Jeremy Butler-Pinkham.

Christon Calley set a new school record in the 200 meter dash on Thursday, May 1st at the MIAA Field Day Championships by running a 21.96. The time broke the old school record by .05, which was shared previously by Ryan Seipke and Christon Calley. The following day in the 200 meter dash finals at the MIAA Field Day Championships, Calley broke his school record again by .01 seconds running a 21.95.

The squad will be in action again this Friday, May 9 at North Central College in Naperville, Ill. and again on Saturday, May 10 at the Paddock Invitational at the University of Michigan.
