NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Adrian College women's and men's cross country teams had a superb showing at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Saint Mary's College on Friday. The men were third and the women were fourth in the team standings. The Bulldogs had near perfect weather conditions in Notre Dame, Indiana and ran a couple of great races. Adrian's men had 102 team points in finishing third out of eight MIAA squads. Calvin won the event with 15 points followed by Hope with 60 points. Chris Elsey placed 15th for the Bulldogs with a time of 27:36. Bob Palmer also had a top 20 finish crossing the line in 17th with a time of 27:45. Tim Storm was right on the heels of Palmer finishing 19th just three seconds back of his teammate. Joe Hart placed 23rd with a time of 28:14. Alex Poulsen was the last runner to count towards the team score with a time of 28:27 which was 28th. Adrian's women had 117 points and finished fourth just three points behind Kalamazoo. Calvin won the meet with 20 points and Hope was second with 64 points. Victoria Alexander nearly cracked the top 10 finishing 12th with a time of 19:52. Jessica Saunders had a top 20 finish coming across the line in 19th place with a time of 20:40. The next Adrian runner was 11 seconds behind in Breanna Korson finishing 23rd. Lindsey Manning continued the youth movement for the Bulldogs with a time of 21:10 which was good for 30th. Chelsey Berlin was the final runner to score for the team in 33rd with a time of 21:30.
