ADRIAN, Mich. - The dream of playing professional football has led former Bulldog standout Taz Wallace overseas as he will strap on a helmet as part of the Triangle Razorbacks in the Danish American Football Federation (DAFF). The all-time leading tackler in the history of Adrian College says that perseverance has always played a big part in his success. "I just want to get on the field and show people what I can do," commented Wallace. "I know I can make a living doing this and what a great opportunity to continue playing in a professional atmosphere. It will be a challenge learning a different country and their language, but I am excited and ready to go." Wallace will depart for Denmark this Sunday (April 13) and plans to stay until October. He will be playing in the National Division of the DAFF which features three other teams. In total, the DAFF consists of eight teams in two four-team divisions. The Razorbacks had a very successful season in 2007 finishing 9-1. Wallace will only make his new team better as evidenced by his astounding numbers while at Adrian College. He left the school earning All-American status in his final three years. In addition, he ended his career with 429 tackles which are the most in Division III history. He is on pace for graduation and will soon earn a degree in criminal justice. The 10-game schedule kicks off April 27 and will end on September 13. |
