Adrian Knocks Off No. 7 Neumann; MSOE Sweeps Lake Forest to Open Season Adrian beat #7 Neumann, 7-6, 10/28/07 MSOE got its season off to a 2-0 start, sweeping Lake Forest for the first time in school history in the home-and-home weekend series. Marian opened against #12 UW-Stout, playing the Blue Devils even throughout the game, with the contest tied 5-5 until a late Stout goal won it. Northland was on the ice as well, falling to #12 Stout and to UW-River Falls .
Players of the Week -Milwaukee School of Engineering freshman goaltender Chris Keller ( Amherst , NY ) is the first MCHA Defensive Player of the Week this season. He helped MSOE record its first-ever sweep of Lake Forest , starting both games on the weekend. He ended with a 1.96 GAA and .932 save percentage. Other Nominees: Jeremy Klaver ( Adrian ), Daniel McIntosh (Northland) - Adrian College freshman forward Eric Miller (Erlanger, Kent.) gives the Bulldogs two out of three award winners with the MCHA Freshman of the Week honor. He recorded three points (1G/2A) in the home-opening win to start things off. He then went on to add two goals and two assists in Adrian's 7-6 OT win over Neumann, including lighting the lamp for the tying goal with just 21 seconds left in regulation.
