David Knox just completed his second season as the assistant men's soccer coach at Adrian College and is serving as the interim head coach. The former Briton helped the Bulldogs to their first win over conference rival Albion College since the 2000 season in his first season coaching with the Bulldogs. This past summer, Knox has assisted with four soccer camps for the Great Lakes Soccer Academy to gain further coaching experience. Additionally, he coaches the Michigan Rush youth premier club team. Knox had a highly successful career at Albion College. A four-year letter winner for the Britons, Knox gained several accolades during his senior season. He was Albion's leader in goals scored, total points, and tied for the lead in assists for the 2006 season. Knox was also tabbed as the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week on two occasions as well as being named to the All-MIAA second team in his senior campaign. During the 2005 season, Knox and his teammates earned the most wins in a season for an Albion squad while also setting new marks for goals scored in a season as well as tying the previous mark for goals scored in a half. Through his college career, Knox helped with various community camps for area children. He is a 2007 graduate of Albion College with a degree in Art. |
