Men's Tennis Concludes Season with 9-0 Decision versus Tri-State

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Bulldog men's tennis team finished their 2008 season on Friday as they dropped a 9-0 decision to Tri-State in the consolation round of the MIAA Championship. Adrian finished with an overall record of 3-17.

Dominic Merollis gave Tim Buchmeier a battle at three singles in the most hotly-contested matchup before falling 6-4, 7-5. Jeff Kennard took four games in the first set at six singles against Brad Wood and then claimed just one game in the second set.

The doubles play saw a one doubles score of 8-2 as Chris Ludwig and Merollis fell to Brett Becker and Bryan Roth. Kyle Austene and Blake Childs got three games at two doubles versus Nick Garstka and Buchmeier.

Adrian will lose senior co-captain Childs from New Haven, Indiana.
