Bouwens Scores Twice in 19-5 Loss at Wittenberg

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Bulldog women's lacrosse team was never really in the game on Wednesday night at Wittenberg as they trailed 14-0 at halftime marking the first time they have been shutout in a half this season. Wittenberg scored twice in the first minute and led 8-0 midway through the opening 30 minutes.

Adrian trailed by 15 before Mariana DiGiovanni scored her 33rd goal of the year unassisted with 25:52 left in the game. Megan Bouwens scored two goals with her first coming with 12:19 left and her second coming with 1:59 to play. The Bulldogs scored three goals in the final 1:59 as Andrea Soloko and Amanda Beger also found the back of the net. Ashley Starkey assisted on the final goal scored by Beger.

Amanda Faraone made nine saves as Wittenberg had 31 shots compared to 14 for Adrian. Wittenberg had no player with more than two goals as 13 different players notched a goal.
