ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's lacrosse program has been highly anticipating the beginning of their program this spring. The team received tremendous news in preparation of the season by signing a contract with STX, a Baltimore-based company that is regarded as one of the top manufacturers of lacrosse equipment in the world. STX and Adrian College have reached an agreement which is historic because the Bulldogs are the only women's Division III school in the country to have this sponsorship with STX. The company has high-profile clients such as Division I programs Johns Hopkins, Maryland, Georgetown and Princeton.

"This is a major deal for our program," said head coach John Sung. "Our players will have the best equipment and this brings great exposure to Adrian College.

The women's lacrosse team will begin play on February 29, 2008 with a trip to Wittenberg College in Springfield, Ohio.
