GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - - The Adrian College women's soccer team fell to MIAA-leading Calving College, 6-0. The Knights scored twice in the first 10 minutes of the game to grab the early 2-0 lead on two goals by Carly Prins. Calvin made it 3-0 when Natalie Veurink scored a goal in the 18th minute of play. In the second half, Michelle Koele would add two goals of her own while Elizabeth Ribbens added the sixth Calvin goal of the day. Adrian had nine shots to Calvin's 20, and no corner kicks to the Knights' 14. The Bulldogs are now 4-7-0 and 1-2-0 in the MIAA. Calvin is now 7-3-1 and 3-0-0 in the conference. Adrian will next travel Olivet College on Saturday, October 6th for a noon MIAA match up. |
