Women's Soccer Opens MIAA Tournament at Kalamazoo

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's soccer squad will participate in the 2007 MIAA Women's Soccer Tournament beginning on Saturday with a noon kick at Kalamazoo College. The Bulldogs are the seventh seed in the tournament after finishing the regular season with a 5-11-1 overall record and a 2-6 MIAA mark. The Hornets are the second seed after finishing the regular season with a 10-4-2 overall record and a 5-2-1 record in the league.

These two teams played earlier in the season back on October 16 at Adrian with the Hornets claiming a 2-0 win. The Bulldogs enter the tournament on a down note having lost their last four matches. They are also looking for their first goal since October 13 having been shutout in their last two matches. Sophomore Lindsay Chitwood has been the team's offensive this year scoring 10 of the team's 20 goals. She has 23 points and the next Bulldog point total is six by Kalie Newman.
